DILG Cagayan de Oro City Office is a field office under DILG Region X. It works directly with the City Government of Cagayan de Oro and the city's 80 barangays to connect national and regional governance policies with local implementation. In fulfillment of the Department's mandate of general supervision over local governments, the office provides venues for policy guidance, coordination, technical assistance, capacity development, and performance monitoring. It helps city and barangay institutions meet governance, accountability, peace and order, public-safety, and service-delivery standards. As a city field office, DILG Cagayan de Oro strengthens local capabilities through practical support for programs, projects, assessments, reports, and institutional improvement. It also links local implementers with DILG Region X, national program offices, partner agencies, civil society, and other stakeholders.
